Marketing and selling data only by MB or GB provides only one differentiator—price. This can lead to a ‘my GB is cheaper than your GB’ pricing strategy, which is a sure fire way to create a commodity product. (0)

As the codgers are only too aware, when it comes to broadband, the gap between the rich and powerful and the - let's face it - cashless and pathetically dependent is becoming wider by the year.  Take, for example, what's now referred to in hushed tones as the "episode", when one of the care home residents was caught downloading unsuitable material to Matron's computer.
That little caper resulted in a total broadband ban for all, even though the miscreant claimed he was only using bookmarks already selected by Matron.  He's now in the high security ward...  nasty business.
Broadband disparity in access is a worldwide problem, as outlined by the ITU; as is roaming (another issue Matron has set ideas on). And this week the codgers also have a thing or two to say about patent madness. View it before Matron cuts the cord.
