I agree with his analysis of this as the 3rd screen for content consumption. In some ways, the ability to have pages, keynote etc also enables replacing carrying the laptop around but not having USB connections is a downside when you want to display this content (unless of course you get a wireless projector and wireless printer of course). Cumbersome also to add content e,g from a thumb/flash drive.

What I do find key with this is not as a 3rd screen for smart phone and laptop users but really for the non tech savvy users e.g the elderly. Its easy to use interface is a big plus, and ability to expand the screen a plus for those who find it hard to read on a screen. I presented one to a 70 year old friend who loves it so much she has become an avid email and Facebook user (which though she had those accounts before did not use it as much as it was cumbersome to access via desktops or laptops). I think if they did strategic targeting to the elderly and younger base of consumers, it will be a an even bigger hit. Having said that, it is a hit with my tech husband who is an avid reader.
