Over the last year BT has been described as a useful role model for a 'Telco 2.0' company - one that has a sustainable future. BT's structural separation, negotiated with Ofcom, brought about Openreach. This separation of network, infrastructure support and services has helped to mitigate risk across the BT Group and liberate the individual units to be more innovative in how they run their businesses. This panel is a warm up to the Telco 2.0 Executive Brainstorm and specifically addresses how structural separation has helped Openreach and BT be more creative and customer-responsive and whether or not it is replicable with other international telcos.
