Acision, the world's leading messaging company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Gabetta as VP, Global Markets. As a specialist in mobile broadband, Gabetta’s primary responsibility will be to work alongside Acision’s mobile broadband and data charging team to support increased growth as well as operators’ challenges for managing and monetising their ever-increasing data traffic. Acision provides the first network independent, pre-integrated mobile broadband solution which encompasses policy management and enforcement, real-time data charging, access and service optimisation, value added service (VAS) management and intelligence capabilities, which all form part of Acision Broadband Mobility Suite.
Gabetta joins Acision with over 15 years’ experience in the mobile and telecommunications industry. His previous role focused specifically on mobile broadband, where Gabetta was Bytemobile’s Chief Technology Officer for EMEA and LATAM, responsible for solutions architecture and technical pre-sales. In this role, Gabetta helped architect a number of the company’s solutions, such as Bytemobile’s Unison. He was also instrumental in helping the company grow from a start-up to a key player in the global mobile internet market, working with some of the world’s leading operators.
Prior to joining Bytemobile, Gabetta worked at Invisix a Motorola and Cisco joint venture as Head of Systems Integration and at Motorola at product management level.
“Christian is yet another outstanding appointment to our business and demonstrates our commitment and investment in the mobile broadband space, where we provide the tools to enable operators to control cost, manage the Quality of Experience (QoE) and raise ARPU,” commented Chris Jenkins, Chief Marketing Officer, Acision. “Christian’s previous experience in mobile broadband, working with leading players across the ecosystem, will add tremendous strength to our team and provide additional value to our customers as they tackle new data challenges. His background in solution architecture and product management illustrates his broad level of knowledge, which will be fundamental to Acision as we grow our presence in the mobile broadband market at a global level.”
Christian Gabetta said: “Acision has a strong heritage in delivering innovative solutions across the breadth of the mobile market to operators globally. The phenomenal growth of mobile data consumption poses a new challenge to operators and once again, Acision’s technology offers the best of breed functionality to deliver traffic control, web and video optimisation, user and device profiling, combined with advanced flexible charging capabilities. Acision is uniquely placed to help customers build a positive mobile broadband business case, and I will be focused on continuing the momentum already achieved by Acision’s across all markets.”
