Brave prognostications from researcher Infonetics, which is predicting that the emerging femtocell and FMC market will thrive in the recession. Ian Scales reports.

Infonetics claims the femto and the fixed/mobile convergence (FMC) market is 'poised' to make major inroads as the recession strengthens its icy grip (see story today - Recession fears raise alarm bells for American mobile phone users) and that the vendors serving carriers with equipment such asUMA and femto network controllers will see big percentage increases in shipments. Let's forget all the technical hocus pocus about Femto for a minute and lets look at the human aspect.

Maybe Mr. Infonetics did not study the big hoopla about 3G Celltowers, but in Europe many people are still worried about how 3G towers affect their health. Still today many even protest against having a 3G tower next door or even on their appartment building - and now you want to put a 3G celltower in their home!? Mark my words, this will be an issue.

On top of that, I pay for my DSL subscription and you want to put your Femto on my DSL router to save you money and I have "better coverage"? Will you pay me for my DSL connection? If yes, then after I wrap myself, my kids, my wife and dog in TIN FOIL, maybe... until then or my TIN FOIL supply runs out, no thank you!

On behalf of all humans, no thank you. I like my health, sperm count and love my family. Hahahaha
