Tiscali tops customer satisfaction survey

According to the 2007 UK Broadband Internet Service Provider Satisfaction study, Tiscali jumped from ranking third in 2006 to ranking highest in 2007, with an overall index score of 668 points on a 1,000-point scale. The Italian ISP, which has 4.2 million active users in both its home country and the UK is followed by Branson’s Virgin Media with 660 points and Murdoch’s Sky with 657 in third place.

The research conducted by research firm, J.D. Power and Associates found a continued decline in customer satisfaction levels, despite lower costs and quicker broadband service.

The study of 1,683 Broadband ISP customers across the UK examined seven factors that drive overall satisfaction with broadband Internet service providers: performance and reliability; customer service/technical support; cost; image; billing; e-mail services; and offerings and promotions.
