Japan researching a safer and more secure Internet

Japan has begun research on a new technology that could potentially replace the current iteration of the Internet – riddled with holes and inherently insecure as it is – with a bigger, faster and safer alternative. Yoshihiro Onishi, the assistant director of Japan's Information Ministry says, "The Internet is reaching its limit. We feel this research for the technology is definitely needed."
