PALO ALTO, Calif., June 12, 2007 – HP today announced that it received a prestigious award at TeleManagement World, the important annual event in Nice, France for the operations and business support systems (OSS and BSS) industry.
TeleManagement Forum (TMF), the industry association that sponsors TMW, gave Excellence Awards to recognize operators, system integrators and software companies that have made outstanding contributions towards 21st century telecom business transformation through noteworthy operational and service delivery initiatives.
“We’ve established this awards program to recognize companies who are making great contributions in the field of delivering service excellence” said Keith Willetts, Chairman and Founder, TeleManagement Forum. “This program will showcase the outstanding work done by our members in furthering TM Forum initiatives, such as HP, as they shape the future of the industry.”
HP won in the category of Prosspero TMF Standards Adoption, for successfully implementing OSS/J standards in its software products and in its consulting and integration practices. The award recognized HP’s effort to help customers move to an OSS environment that supports service management using applications integrated with OSS/J interfaces.
One of the initial implementations was Prosspero Trouble Ticketing on HP TeMIP Software, which is one of the world’s leading network management products.
Prosspero is the TMF program to help service providers, integrators, and suppliers package and implement successful technical solutions that are based on TMF standards and have verifiable deployments.

Used by more than 400 service providers, the HP OSS software products are part of the HP Integrated Service Management framework, which integrates OSS and BSS, to provide carriers and operators with the comprehensive, highly adaptive, service-oriented approach needed to effectively manage networks and services, improve mediation and billing, and assure quality of service for customers.

The TM Forum provides leadership, strategic guidance and practical solutions to improve the way that services are created, delivered, assured and charged.
